WOW - I am beyond honored to have been chosen. I feel a few words are not enough to capture my love of Japan and its people. I am incredibly lucky that New York City affords opportunities to partake and celebrate Japanese culture, such as Japanfes and the Japan Parade, both of which I've attended for more than 2 years now. From the delicious food, to the vibrant fashion, to anime and manga that I've grown up with all my life (waking up early every Saturday morning to watch Sailor Moon and Yu-Gi-Oh), there isn't an aspect of Japan that I don't like or admire. I entered the contest because I am no stranger to sharing my love of Japanese culture with friends and family, and really the world, so I am absolutely ecstatic and excited to be given the opportunity to do so from the country itself.
